Calgary Flames
Flames vs. Kings Game Thread
Calgary gets back into action after a three week Olympic adventure. Watch the Flames try to take the Jewels From the Crown.
After a long break, the Flames get back into action against the visiting LA Kings. The Flames have won both games versus the Kings this year in dramatic fashion, scoring late in a tied game both times.
Reto Berra and Ladislav Smid represent the returning Olympians for the Flames, but Berra will not play tonight, as Joni Ortio will start in the absence of Karri Ramo, who is still recovering from a knee injury. The Flames had their five game winning streak broken before the Olympic break, losing two of their past three leading up to it, but the Kings, who put up six goals against the Avalanche last night, will not be an easy opponent for a team that will undoubtably be shaking off some rust.
Oh yeah, and Markus Granlund will also be making his NHL debut tonight. ORTIO, GRANLUND, LET’S GO!!!
