Flames Sign Oliver Kylington
The blueliner will be back with the organization in some form for the 2021-22 season.
The Flames have announced that they have signed Oliver Kylington to a one year deal. This will be Kylington's 7th year with the organization where he's played in only 95 NHL games and collected a scant 16 points (5G-11A). Most of Kylington's time with the Flames has been spent with the Stockton Heat where he's skated in 190 games, scored 28 goals and handed out 63 assists.
His best season with the Flames, appearance wise, was in 2019-20 where he played in 48 games, but his best point totals came the prior season where he had 8 points in 38 games.
The signing of Kylington is curious from the standpoint that he's never been given a fair shake by the Flames, but this could be his chance to shine. The Flames are in need of people on the blueline and Kylington fits that role and has never been a disaster when on the ice.
With all that said this could be Kylington's last chance with Calgary as after seven seasons most teams know whether or not a player has "it."
