The Calgary Flames have made another signing on the opening day of free agency, this time bringing in winger Trevor Lewis on a one year $800K deal.

Lewis spent last season with the Winnipeg Jets where he had 10 points in 56 games. Prior to that he had spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Kings since he was drafted by them in 2006.

So of course he was a member of those Cup winning teams in 2012 and 2014 and Darryl Sutter has a lot of familiarity with him. He is mainly a defensive forward with solid shot suppression numbers which seems to be the theme of today for the Flames.
