Calgary Flames
The Morning After Winnipeg: A Point, But Not A Win
The opening night blues continued for the Calgary Flames.

The Morning After
Calgary Flames 3 – Winnipeg Jets 4 (OT)
Tidbits
-Still Haven’t Found What They’re Looking For: 1-15-2, that’s now the Flames record over their last 18 on opening night after their 4-3 OT loss to Winnipeg Thursday night. The Flames at least secured a point, but haven’t won on opening night since 2009.
-Add Him To The Pile: Jacob Markstrom, like Karri Ramo, Jonas Hiller, Brian Elliott and Mike Smith before him, lost his first start with the Flames, coinciding with another opening night loss.
-Not So Friendly Winnipeg: Seeing we’re on the negative trend here, the Flames haven’t been handling their business when traveling to see the Jets. The Flames have dropped six of the last 10 regular season games when making the trip to see Winnipeg.
