The Flames traded Michael Frolik to the Buffalo Sabres yesterday.

The Flames made a rather significant move yesterday by trading forward Michael Frolik to the Buffalo Sabres. Calgary received a 2020 fourth round pick and more importantly, the Sabres will take on what is left of Frolik’s $4.3 million dollar salary for this season.
Things weren’t going so well for Frolik this season, so the move makes sense on many levels. Not only does each party get a change of scenery, but you have to think this is just a stepping stone to the Flames making a bigger deal down the road.
