Calgary Flames 2009-2010 Training Camp Roster

The Flames have released the main camp roster, available here with the players split into groups ‘A’ through ‘C’. Since I don’t find that terribly helpful myself, I’ve gathered the players together by position:

56 altogether. Each position is sorted alphebetically, so don't go thinking this is a depth chart.

There'll be more in-depth training camp articles from Robert popping up here as pre-season progresses, but here's my own short list of expectations/interests:

Guys to watch – Backund, Wahl, Nemisz, Kronwall, Stralman, Pelech, Irving, Keetly, Van Der Gulik, Greentree, Palin, Negrin

Guys who are longshots to make the farm team – Grantham, Watt, Vandermeer, Meyers, Shantz

Guys to add – Theoren Fleury wasn't on the main camp roster, but word is he has indeed received an invite

Notably Absent – Erixon, Bjorklund and Ortio. All are busy overseas.

Things kick off tomorrow morning at 8:30am. The first pre-season game goes Tues, Sept.15 against the Edmonton Oilers.
