Calgary Flames
The Morning After Columbus
These are beginning to take on the feeling of “oh god, what did we do last night, I don’t remember and my head hurts.”
Here’s the rest of the best that wasn’t covered in the Recap or Rate The Flames from Calgary’s 5-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Matt Stajan Honored
Matt Stajan received his Silver Stick for playing in his 1,000th game before the Flames and Blue Jackets hit the ice. Stajan eclipsed the 1,000 mark on Wednesday March 21st in Calgary’s 4-0 loss to the Ducks.
Power Play Comes Up Empty
Calgary’s struggling Power Play once again couldn’t find the back of the net last night as they failed in 2 attempts. That 0-2 has extended the Flames 0’fer streak to 0-26.
Chris Stewart Arrives
It took the Flames 59:38 to score and it came off the stick of Chris Stewart. The goal was Stewart's 1st as a member of the Flames and his 9th of the season.
Hat Tricks Are Welcome
Unfortunately they’re coming from the opposition. Pierre-Luc Dubois’ 3 goals last night lead to the 3rd hat trick the Flames have given up during this 7 game losing streak (Kane and Karlsson own the other 2). I’m sure there’s a record for that type of stuff, but my head hurts and I’m not looking it up.
