Here’s the rest of the best of what wasn’t covered in the Recap or Rate The Flames from Calgary’s 4-0 loss to the Anaheim Ducks.

Congrats Matt!

Flames veteran centre Matt Stajan played in his 1000th career game last night. Of those 1,000, 554 have been in a Flames uniform. Over his 9 year career with Calgary Stajan has 59 goals and 130 assists. Congrats Matt Stajan because this was the only good thing that happened for the Flames in this game.

Out-shot, But Outscored

The Flames out-shot the Anaheim Ducks 29-16, yet couldn’t find the back of the net. I’ve got nothing else.

Smith Bad Again

What’s the deal with the Flames #1 keeper? Smith had his 4th straight rough outing, giving up 3 goals on 11 shots before being yanked in favour of David Rittich. Smith’s record since coming back is 1-5-0. Not even close to good enough.

Playoff Update

While not mathematically eliminated, the Flames are DONE. The loss puts the Flames an insurmountable 8 points behind Anaheim and Colorado and 7 points behind the Kings. FORE!
