Calgary Flames
The Morning After Ottawa: One Part Of The Flames Special Teams Was At Least Special
There isn’t much good coming from Calgary lately, but at least the PK has been solid.
The Morning After
Calgary Flames 1 – Ottawa Senators 3
Tidbits
-PK Still Perfect: The Flames penalty kill has been one of the few bright spots as of late. They went 3-3 last night against Ottawa and killed off their last 12 man down situations over the last four games.
-Not Adding Up: The Flames, once again has trouble scoring Wednesday night, but it’s not for the lack of trying. In their last three games they’ve scored a total of two goals, but have had a total of 96 shots. The last time the scored more than one goal was a 4-3 win over the Maple Leafs where they only had 18 shots total. What gives?
-Over The .500 Mark: With their victory over the Flames the Ottawa Senators are now 5-2-0 against Calgary this season. Ottawa can finish no worse than 5-4-0 against the Flames, meaning they will take the season series for the first time since 2016 (yes, it’s only usually a two game series).
