The Daily Scan: Streaking Flames Eichel finalist

I’m new to the National Hockey Now family but it has been ahead of the Jack Eichel trade talk for most of the last six months.

We’ve talked a lot about whether the Flames are in on it but I also looked at whether they can afford to do it.

I think it should be shared that the person behind the curtain getting sources on the Eichel stuff is Jimmy Murphy in Boston. Eichel is from the Boston area, where many people want to see Jack do well and be well. This NHL trade saga has gone on long enough. Looking forward to the resolution and let’s hope the player gets healthy and back on the ice this year.

Calgary Hockey Now: The Flames avoided the trap game in their first home contest after the long road trip and earned a hard-fought second straight 4-0 win over a team from Pennsylvania.

CHN+: This one goes back to the first week of the season but it’s worth sharing again. Jamie McLennan saw this coming from Jacob Markstrom, the ‘unicorn.’
