The Calgary Flames have been working hard to prepare for their next game. Which happens to be another Battle of Alberta with the Edmonton Oilers. Saturday night. Hockey Night in Canada. Meanwhile, lots of NHL trade talk and of course the big debut of the little arena in Arizona.

Calgary Flames

All eyes will be on the goaltending situation. It’s going to be the talk of the town until it isn’t when it comes to Jacob Markstrom.

The Flames are proving last year wasn’t a fluke and they’re doing it without playing their best yet.

Tyler Toffoli is scoring despite the top line’s five-on-five struggles. Rasmus Andersson is working to join the elite at his position. Nazem Kadri has quickly become a fan favourite and his goals are leading to wins. And Jonathan Huberdeau found the net for the first time as a Flame.
