There’s never a dull moment when it comes to the Calgary Flames, but many fans lead a very busy life, meaning it’s not always possible to keep up to date with every news story.

But don’t worry, we’re here to help!

Every Sunday we will recap the most exciting and relevant news stories that you may have missed throughout the week.

Monday

  • The game happened on Saturday night. But Winnipeg Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois was so angry over a trip by Calgary Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom that we wrote more on Monday. To be fair, it probably was a dirty play.
  • Darryl Sutter tinkered with his lines as Jonathan Huberdeau came back from his injury, putting the star winger with centre Mikael Backlund
  • The Flames offence exploded in a major way as they scored six times in a 6-5 win over the Los Angeles Kings. We won't talk about the five against, though.

Tuesday

  • Jonathan Huberdeau's relationship with head coach Darryl Sutter has been the subject of much speculation recently.

Wednesday

  • The Flames have been talked about a lot in recent NHL trade rumours. But the play of Adam Ruzicka may be quieting that a bit.

Saturday

  • Don't forget about the other big name in the blockbuster trade. Matthew Tkachuk talked about taking on his former Calgary Flames.
  • The game lived up to the hype. Huberdeau and Weegar got the last laugh against Tkachuk and Co. Big win over the Florida Panthers.
  • There was some adversity in the contest but the way the team kept clawing back to take leads was something Sutter liked
