Calgary Flames
The Flames Made Roster Moves Today
The Flames assigned 10 players to either Stockton or their team in the minors today.

The Flames announced today that they made roster moves to trim their current on ice product down to 41 players. Alex Gallant, Matt Greenfield, Yan Kuznetsov, Mark Simpson, Ilya Soloyov, Eetu Tuulola, Dmitry Zagorodniy, Luke Philip and Colton Poolman have all been assigned to the Stockton Heat for 2021-22.
Jeremie Poirier has been sent back to the QMJHL to play with Saint John where he has spent the last three seasons.
None of these players saw any ice time in the Flames three preseason games and it should surprise no one that they were all optioned to either Stockton or their previous teams.
The Flames have to cut their active roster down to 23 by the start of the season and with 41 players still with the team more cuts are to come.
