Calgary Flames

Staff Predictions & Projected Lines: Froese Back In

The Flames forward is back in after a solid performance against Winnipeg.

Staff Predictions

Calgary Flames @ Vancouver Canucks, 8 PM MT

Previous Games:

1/16: Calgary Flames 3 – Vancouver Canucks 0

1/18: Calgary Flames 5 – Vancouver Canucks 2

Favorite: Vancouver Line: -105 O/U: 6.0

Mark: Calgary Flames 5 – Vancouver Canucks 1

I see total domination here. Vancouver can’t get out of their own way and the cracks in the armor are getting big. Calgary is getting hot and looking like a team that is finally playing a full 60 minutes. I see this as a blowout for the Flames.

Maddie: Calgary Flames 4 – Vancouver Canucks 1

I’m with Mark on this one—the Canucks are really struggling this season, and I think the Flames should be able to take advantage of that pretty handily. I mean, here’s hoping, right?

Flash: Calgary Flames 3 – Vancouver Canucks 2 (OT)

If the Flames can put a second straight effort like they did in their last game they should be able to come out on top. Thatcher Demko is going to want to show his old creasemate he’s their proper heir and battle hard. I really have a gut feeling both Canucks goals will be on the PP involving both Pettersson and Hughes. The Flames could largely dominate and squeak the two points out on a Johnny G breakaway in OT where he goes short side.

Michael: Calgary Flames 5 – Vancouver Canucks 3

Everything seems to be going the Flames way right now so I expect another fairly comfortable victory. Vancouver will put home a couple but it will feel like a game that is in Calgary’s control all night long. I think we see a big night from Matthew Tkachuk as well.
