Staff Predictions & Lines: Matthew Tkachuk And Goaltending Aren’t Settled Yet

Lineup decisions could affect tonight's outcome.

Staff Predictions

Calgary Flames vs Dallas Stars, 8:30 PM MT, Rogers Place, Edmonton AB

Favorite: Calgary Line: -110 O/U: 5.0

8/11: Game 1- Calgary Flames 3 – Dallas Stars 2

8/13: Game 2- Calgary Flames 4 – Dallas Stars 5

Mark: Calgary Flames 3 – Dallas Stars 2

This will play out as a tight game as Dallas has started to crack down and play that annoying, but successful-ish defence. I think the Flames dust themselves off and play a much better 60 minutes than they did Thursday night. Then again, this could all change if Matthew Tkachuk isn’t in the lineup.

Maddie: Calgary Flames 2 – Dallas Stars 1

I’m feeling like the Flames are going to be able to respond well enough in this one. Last night was a really tough loss, but I didn’t dislike the whole of their game, they definitely did have some positive stretches, and that’s important. I’m not sure that I’m banking on an offensive explosion, but I’m predicting the Flames can settle back in and eke out a win in this one.
