Calgary Flames Add 10 PTO’s for Training Camp

The Flames beefed up their roster while the rest of the team is away

The Flames added ten players to their training camp roster today via PTO, here is the list:



G Jeff Glass

We already knew about this PTO from earlier, but the Flames made it official today. Glass split last year between the Chicago Blackhawks and Rockford IceHogs (AHL). In 15 NHL games, Glass was 3-7-3 with a 3.36 GAA and a 0.898 sv%.

D Philip Samuelsson

Another former member of the Hurricanes organization! Samuelsson most recently played for the Hurricanes AHL team, the Charlotte Checkers. He had 21 points in 78 games last year. He’s skated in 13 NHL games, split between Pittsburgh and Arizona.

D Viktor Svedberg

Like Glass, Svedberg spent time with the IceHogs last year. He had 24 points in 73 games. In 2015-16, Svedberg dressed in 27 games for the Blackhawks.

D Ryan Sproul

Sproul spent most of the early portion of his career with the Red Wings before being traded to the Rangers during last season. He had a goal and four assists in 16 games with NYR, while putting up 29 points in 49 AHL games.

D Duncan Siemens

The former 11th overall pick from 2011 dressed in 16 games with the Avalanche last season. He had a goal and an assist in those games, while picking up 7 points in 45 AHL games with the San Antonio Rampage.

D Justin Falk

Falk has spent the last two years with the Buffalo Sabres organization and spent all of 2017-18 exclusively at the NHL level. He tallied two points in 46 games with the Sabres last year. Falk has also dressed for the Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers, and Columbus Blue Jackets.

F Logan Shaw

Shaw split last season between the Anaheim Ducks and Montreal Canadiens after being picked off waivers. In 72 games, Shaw had 4 goals and 10 assists. He’s also played for the Florida Panthers.

F Scott Sabourin

Sabourin most recently played for the Ducks AHL affiliate the San Diego Gulls. He had 7 points and 80 PIM in 44 games last year for San Diego.

F Justin Auger

Auger was drafted by the LA Kings in 2013 and has spent his entire career in the Kings organization thus far. He has primarily played in the AHL but did dress for two games with Los Angeles last season as well.

F Gilbert Brule

The long time Oiler and Blue Jacket last played in the NHL during the 2013-14 season with the Coyotes. He played with Kunlun Red Star last year in the KHL who play in China. Appropriately while the Flames are in China, he comes to Calgary.
