Fan Poll Friday: What Happens Next?

With the Flames out of the playoffs what does the organization do next?

Fan Poll Friday

The Flames loss to the Ducks Wednesday night effectively ended their season seeing they wonโ€™t be making the playoffs. Calgary has 7 games left to play for pride, stats and jobs. The last is the most important and could have major implications for the franchise moving forward.

Glen Gulutzanโ€™s job clearly will be in the cross-hairs this off season. Gulutzan took a playoff team from a year ago and failed to get them back to the post season this year. Heโ€™s been stubborn and stuck by players and systems that didnโ€™t work. Dave Cameron is another person that might want to update his resume. The โ€œmasterโ€ of the Flames power play has been highly ineffective this season and his units have cost Calgary games all year long.

Then thereโ€™s management. Sure, Gulutzan and crew didnโ€™t have the best season, but they were playing what they were dealt. Bred Treliving (to be fair the Gaudreau, Monahan and Backlund deals were genius) was the guy who moved heaven and Earth to get Travis Hamonic who underachieved for a good chunk of the season. Heโ€™s also the person who brought in Troy Brouwer and refused to admit/see that mistake. BT is also the reason the Flames donโ€™t have any picks in the first 3 rounds of the draft this year. Brian Burke? Does anyone even know what he does?

What about the players? Troy Brouwer needs to be bought out. T.J. Brodie had a miserable season. Is it time for the Flames to get something for Mark Giordano before he goes the way of Jarome Iginla? Is it time to cut bait with an under performing and underachieving Sam Bennett?

So many questions and this is where Fan Poll Friday is fun and letโ€™s you become the GM! Vote in our poll below to decide what the Flames should do next!
